Just a few weeks ago, Samsung said Fortnite for Android would come exclusively to a number of its devices for the first few days of release. Equally part of the Fortnite promotion, customers who preordered the Samsung Galaxy Annotation nine orTab S4 would get the start stab at the Fortnite Android beta, forth with a gift of fifteen,000 5-Bucks (the in-game currency), or they could pick a set up of headphones. Preorder customers would also go exclusive access to Fortnite'south Galaxy Skin.

But where there'due south a will in that location'southward a fashion, and Samsung stores have rapidly learned the lengths to which some people will become to get a flashy new peel.

Fornite fans quickly realized after the Note ix'south launch last week that they could go to retail locations, download Fortnite on the device in the store, log in to their personal Ballsy Games business relationship, play the three games required to redeem the skin and download it to their business relationship. Once they left the shop, the skin would exist complimentary to use, regardless of the device they used to play.

We contacted Samsung to find out if players could become simply one pare per device and to ask if the company had a comment on the wave of sneaky downloaders. Samsung steered the states toward the skin's promotional folio without commenting on the workarounds. So while some retailers appear to exist cracking down, it seems in that location's no official activity from Samsung to counter the skin skimmers.
